Privacy

How inquiry information and limited website security data are handled.

01 / Scope

This notice applies to personal information submitted through the Ravelance website, sent to the contact email, or generated as limited technical and security information while the website is used.

02 / Information collected

Depending on how you contact Ravelance, this may include:

  • your name and work email address;
  • optional company, project, and website information;
  • the content and context of your inquiry and later correspondence;
  • the source page, submission time, IP address, and anti-abuse signals;
  • records needed to manage a requested or agreed business relationship.

Please do not submit payment credentials, private keys, identification documents, or other sensitive operational data through the public form.

03 / Purposes and legal bases

Information is used to:

  • review and respond to an inquiry;
  • take steps you request before a possible engagement;
  • maintain relevant correspondence and business records;
  • protect the website and form against abuse and security incidents;
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

Where the GDPR applies, the relevant bases are steps taken at your request before entering a contract, legitimate interests in responding to relevant business inquiries and securing the website, and compliance with legal obligations. Ravelance does not use inquiry data for unrelated advertising.

04 / Required information

Name, work email, and a short message are required so the inquiry can be understood and answered. Company and website fields are optional. Without the required information, Ravelance cannot respond through the form.

05 / Service providers

The website and contact database are hosted on infrastructure controlled by Ravelance on a server located in Japan. Limited information may also be processed by providers used for email delivery, security, and bot prevention. Cloudflare Turnstile is used when configured to evaluate technical signals and protect the form. Providers process information only for the relevant operational purpose and under their own applicable security and privacy commitments.

Personal information is not sold. It is not disclosed to banks, payment providers, or prospective project partners merely because an inquiry was submitted. Any later disclosure needed for an engagement is handled in the relevant project context.

06 / International processing

Ravelance operates from Vietnam. Website inquiry records are intended to be stored on the Ravelance-controlled server in Japan, while email and security providers may process limited information in other countries. Where a transfer is subject to legal safeguards, Ravelance will rely on an available lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate contractual or organisational protections.

07 / Retention

An inquiry that does not lead to an engagement is normally retained for no longer than 24 months after the last meaningful contact, then deleted or anonymised. Information may be kept longer where reasonably necessary for an active relationship, dispute, security investigation, or legal record.

08 / Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing, and may withdraw any consent previously given. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority. Requests can be sent to [email protected]. Identity may be verified before a request is completed.

09 / Automated decisions

Ravelance does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about website visitors solely through automated processing. Security tools may automatically reject suspected abusive submissions, after which you can contact Ravelance directly by email.

10 / Updates and contact

This notice may be updated when the website, providers, or legal obligations change. The current version and update date will remain on this page.

For website terms and information about technical storage, see the Terms and Cookie Policy.
